Do we still work for emancipation?

Asad Haider at n+1 argues that MLK’s vision was much more wide-ranging – and more revolutionary – than our popular paeans make it seem: it’s less restricted to its American scene, and abolishing legal segregation is less of a complete achievement, and less separable from addressing economic inequality, than we think.
